FREE training on The Care Act, available to all our families and relatives
We recently hosted a Planning Live session with Family Consultants from the Dimensions Group and some of our families and relatives in the Taunton area. The conversations revealed that some people aren’t entirely aware of their rights and entitlements as a parent or carer. We were genuinely concerned by the lack of information that families in Somerset appear to have been offered about; entitlements, benefits and the opportunities they can access, on behalf of the people they support.
To start to tackle this, we have arranged two FREE training sessions on The Care Act 2014, open to all our families, relatives and carers to help ensure you understand exactly what’s available to you and the person you are supporting, to help you access the best possible support.
We are running these sessions in partnership with HFT’s Family Carer Support Service, a National charity providing advice and support for people with learning disabilities. We will be holding 2 sessions, one in Somerton and one in Bridgwater.
As many people as possible are welcome to attend – there is no limit on numbers.
